The European Branch of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators will hold in Portugal a seminar on "ARBITRATION - DO'S AND DONT'S IN CROSS-EXAMINATION", with the support of the Commercial Arbitration Centre (CAC) of the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The initiative will take place in Porto on September 14 (Palácio da Bolsa) and in Lisbon on the 15 (Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and Industry).



In an article recently published in the International Bar Association's newsletter, António Júdice Moreira analyses CAC's new set of Rules for Fast Track Arbitration, deeming that the rules offer solutions and mechanisms that simplify processes and limit the time spent on each procedural act, thus ensuring reduced costs and greater speed of action. A measure that, according to the author, will make commercial arbitration more accessible to the majority of the Portuguese companies, which tend to be of small or medium structures.



The Club Español de Arbitraje organizes the 11th edition of its International Conference, that will analyze the "New factors in the Enforcement and Setting Aside of the Award", in Madrid, on the Fundación Rafael del Pino, between 12th and 14th June.
