The Board of the Commercial Arbitration Centre of the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CAC) have approved new Rules of Arbitration, which introduce significant amendments to the way in which arbitral proceedings are regulated under the aegis of the Commercial Arbitration Centre, following international best practices for arbitration.

It has also approved the Arbitrators' Code of Ethics, a fundamental instrument for exercising arbitrator functions in proceedings that take place at the CAC. With the aim of publicising and debating the new Rules, an introduction session will take place on 23 January, at the Grand Hall of the Lisbon Commercial Association.
