1. As mentioned in the announcement and disclosure of the program of the XIV Congress of the Arbitration Center of the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and Industry | Commercial Arbitration Center, the serious public health situation could dictate that the event could not take place on the scheduled dates (July 2 and 3, 2020).

2. In the legal framework of the Calamity Situation in effect, the event is prohibited. On the other hand, there is no indication that events with the size of the Congress of the Commercial Arbitration Center may be feasible in the coming months.

In addition, the intention is to hold a Congress with a strong international component, the majority of whom are foreign speakers. The lack of visibility regarding the opening of borders and the normalization of international mobility makes it impossible to ensure the presence of our distinguished foreign guests.

So, with a very big regret and certain to count on everyone's understanding, we inform you that the XIV Congress will be postponed to 2021.

3. The Board of the Commercial Arbitration Center will maintain the tradition of holding the congress on the first Thursday and Friday of July each year. Thus, already in a context of public health and normalized international mobility, we invite everyone to save the new dates for the holding of the XIV Congress, on July 1 and 2, 2021.
