Last 26 January, the new CAC Future Committee was officially launched. It has been created and is part of the Commercial Arbitration Centre of the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The event began with the Vice-President of the CAC: Rui Pinto Duarte and the President of the CAC Future Committee, Joana Galvão Teles, followed by a conversation between José Miguel Júdice and Sofia de Sampaio Jalles on the future of arbitration.
This successful launch, which was attended by many participants, set the tone for an enriching reflection on the future of the sector, the demand for greater transparency, diversity, efficiency, professionalism and a broadening and strengthening of the arbitration community. The importance of digital transformation and how artificial intelligence promises to continue to transform arbitration was also discussed.
